Gardaí have sadly confirmed that an 11-year-old girl who was critically injured following a car crash in Dublin over the weekend, has died in hospital.
According to RTÉ News, the young girl sadly passed away in Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, earlier today.
It is understood that the girl was critically injured following a single vehicle collision on the Lower Lucan Road at approximately 11.30am on Saturday morning.
Gardaí say girl’s younger sister also sustained minor injuries following the collision, whilst their father the driver of the car was uninjured in the incident.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
