Gardai in Co Kerry have sadly confirmed that an 11 year old girl has died following a road traffic incident.
It is understood that the young girl was sadly killed after she was struck by a van whilst riding her bicycle in Abbeydorney, Tralee in Co Kerry, at approximately 7.30pm on Monday.
Gardai say the girl was taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment but she sadly passed away a short time later.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
