It has been sadly reported that a homeless woman living in emergency accommodation has given birth to stillborn twins.
The news of the tragic deaths as been described as heartbreaking by many homeless advocacy groups after the woman presented at Dublin’s Rotunda Hospital over the weekend.
It is believed the woman prematurely gave birth to the twins at an emergency accommodation, before she arrived at the hospital with the twins.
However medical professionals were unable to help the babies who were sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
Gardai say they are currently investigating the incident, but have said there is no suspicious circumstances in regards to the babies deaths.
The latest heartbreaking tragedy comes as the country is gripped by an ongoing homeless and housing crisis with nearly 10,000 people being classed as homeless across the country.
