Ireland is currently in the grip of the longest and more intense heatwave in living memory, and it shows no signs of ending yet.
Temperatures of up to 29C are predicted over the weekend, as an area of high pressure hangs over the country.
There will be some spells of rain today, but there will be light and brief.
Fine and settled conditions are expected to last into next week.
