HEATWAVE: Temperatures may break the all-time record today after yesterday saw 32c

This is a summer to remember, even if we don’t get another day of sunshine – but thankfully that’s not the case.

Met Eireann say that Shannon Airport reported a temperature of 32c yesterday – meaning it was the hottest June day since 1976.

Today will see more of the same – if not hotter. The national forecaster say that there is a chance that today could break the all-time record of just close to 34c set in Kilkenny back in the 19th century.

Either way, we’re all in store for more glorious weather today, this weekend and by the looks of things – next week too!

Enjoy!
