He’s arguably the hardest hitting heavyweight boxer in history, the Bronze Bomber Deontay Wilder had a very friendly meeting with Pope Francis in Rome.
Pope Francis is well known for loving sport and Wilder said that Pope Francis knew who he was and had requested to meet with him.
The photo is an enormous PR coup for Deontay with many believing it firmly puts him in pole position as the face of heavyweight boxing.
He’s due to face off once again against Tyson Fury in a super showdown fight in Las Vegas on February 22nd.
