Helen McEntee condemns groups ‘intent on sowing division and fear’ following hotel arson attacks

Following arson assaults on buildings that were being considered for the housing of asylum seekers, Helen McEntee denounced groups “intent on sowing division and fear through intimidation,” reports Breaking News.

She insisted that those involved would face consequences.

The Minister of Justice made these remarks while gardaí conducted a number of searches in connection with their investigation into a fire at a closed hotel in County Galway that was supposed to house applicants for international protection.

As stated earlier, the event is being investigated by the Gardaí as arson, reports Breaking News.

Just days before it was scheduled to house seventy asylum seekers, the Ross Lake House Hotel in Rosscahill was severely damaged in a fire last month, reports Breaking News.
