An additional four and a half years have been imposed on the sentence of a man who attacked two sex workers, leaving one with injuries that were “potentially life-threatening,” reports Breaking News.

However, in 2017, Buti Sashi (27), of Tyrconnell Grove, Inchicore, Dublin 8, entered the courtroom to face Judge Martin Nolan of the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. She had previously entered guilty pleas to two counts of aggravated burglary, robbery, false imprisonment, and assault causing serious harm.

In each of the individual cases, Sashi made contact with the victims to arrange a sexual encounter, showed up at their residences, attacked them, and then left.

He is presently serving a sentence for which his earliest probable release date was June 23, 2029. He had previously been found guilty of identical acts, reports Breaking News.

Judge Nolan stated at sentence that “this defendant has a violent propensity.”

His description of the events as “very serious crimes” included the statement that Sashi’s motive was “probably theft,” but it was unclear.

“I hope that he is remorseful and shameful for what he did. I’m going to take that to be the case,” reports Breaking News.
