Tragic news emerged on Saturday that Irishwoman Denise Morgan had been shot dead by her boyfriend in New York.
Police in NYC say that Denise’s landlord heard a row between herself and her boyfriend in her Queens apartment with gunshot noises a short time later.
Sadly when police entered the building they found Denise shot dead, her boyfriend dead and a handgun beside him.
It’s believed that Denise’s boyfriend cowardly shot her and then shot himself.
A GoFundMe page, which can be accessed here, has been setup aimed at helping Denise’s family return her body to Ireland so that she can have her funeral and burial in her native Tullyallen, County Louth.
Denise’s death has left people in her native county in complete shock.
Tributes have flooded in across social media since the tragic news broke out. Her family say they are devastated, describing Denise as a kind, funny and wonderful sister, daughter and friend.
