12-yr-old Lexie Delaney from Edenderry, Co Offally has made Christmas a little bit brighter for families who are in emergency accommodation this Christmas by organising a large Christmas toy appeal.
The inspirational girl has done this lovely gesture for the past 4 years, but given this bizarre year, the gesture was even more appreciated given the all the regulations that people have had to endure.
Normally, the North Dublin bay housing host a Christmas party for children in emergency accommodation with Lexie holding her toy appeal for them, but this year obviously the party couldn’t go ahead due to the restrictions. Instead, the families were given the hampers and toys collected by Lexie and all had a very enjoyable Christmas Day thanks to one special girl.
