A faithful dog has been praised for his heroics after he rescued a newborn baby buried alive in Thailand.
According to BBC News, Ping Pong the dog found the newborn baby boy after his teenage mother tried to hide her pregnancy from her parents.
It is believed that the dog who lost the the use of his legs found the baby buried in a field in the village of Ban Nong Kham.
Speaking to local reporters, the dog’s owner said Ping Pong had been barking and digging frantically in the field before he managed to come across newborn.
Following the discovery a number of local residents managed to rescue the baby who is said to be in healthy condition.
Meanwhile police say the baby boy’s mother has been charged with child abandonment and attempted murder.
