There’s been a very mixed reaction to the caretaker Minister for Health Simon Harris appearing to condemn those who are trying to get on with their lives.
Harris said Ireland has made progress and that it’s been a hard won progress but that there’s more cases around the world because of more testing.
He went on to say that we can’t in any way say that this pandemic is behind us and people cannot be complacent, people can’t go to work if they have any symptoms and that people need to self isolate if they have any symptoms.
Many people on social media are saying that Harris, who has been tipped to become Finance Minister if the new government deal goes ahead, is creating fear amongst people who are trying to get back and get on with things.
Some social media users are saying that they’re taking proper precautions and don’t need to be patronised by Harris.
