Higgins will not confirm he’s a millionaire even though he’s on €5,000 a WEEK since 2011

There have been claims on social media that Michael D Higgins is a so-called “champagne socialist” after he is still won’t confirm whether he is a millionaire.

Higgins was a life-long labour party member and TD until he resigned from the party to take the office in the Aras.

There’ have been calls for him to clarify whether he is a millionaire or not and what exactly he spends his enormous wages on.

Higgins owns a salubrious house in Galway along with multiple pensions and a €250,000 salary for President since 2011.

He also receives over €300,000 a year in expenses.

One could only speculate that his house in Galway is likely to be worth a minimum of €250,000. He’s also a landlord so the income from rent along with his pensions would likely push his income to over €300,000 per annum or €6,000 a week since 2011.

With all that mind, the fact that he’s pulled in €1.750,000 in Presidential salaries alone excluding his pensions, his landlord rent and his €300,000 yearly expenses the office receives, it’s almost impossible for him to not be a millionaire.

Why won’t he just admit it to the general public seeing as the voters know Peter Casey, Gavin Duffy and Sean Gallagher have all admitted their wealth.

Meanwhile Peter Casey has said that if he’s elected he will not take any salary for the Presidential role whatsoever, he’ll donate it to charities around the country.
