The High Court has appointed an interim examiner for Iceland’s Irish stores as the company reportedly cannot pay due liabilities.

It is understood that Iceland faces €36m in debts, which the company is unable to satisfy.

Iceland has struggled for some time, and recently underwent a massive recall of frozen foods due to customs issues.
