The highest temperature in over a century was registered in Dublin today.
The thermometer climbed to 33C at 1pm today, the highest-ever July temperature ever recorded in Ireland, and second-highest ever. The record currently stands at 33.3C, recorded at Kilkenny Castle in 1887.
A warning for hot weather remains in place until midnight on Tuesday.
