Ireland has yet again a new boxing Champion in the form of Katie Taylor as she’s now a two weight Champion after an incredible fight in Manchester on Saturday night.
Katie beat Christina Linardatou in her WBO Super Lightweight Championship fight in Manchester.
In a 10 round slug fest the Bray native once again showed her class coming out on top with a points victory over her Dominican opponent.
Taylor who never seemed out of place was given a unanimous victory after the judges scoring the bout 96-94, 97-93, 97-93 in her favour.
