Police authorities in the popular tourist resort of Magaluf have begun a major investigation after three young women were raped on the island over the weekend.
According to reports all three women who are British, German and Swedish nationals were raped on the same day within a matter of hours.
It is understood the British woman aged 21 had been raped in the Spanish party resort of Magaluf on Friday morning, whilst the second victim a Swedish national, 20, was allegedly raped less than a hour at the same resort on the island.
Police say the third woman, a German national aged 30, was raped on the same day a number of hours later in the resort of El Arenal, ten miles south east of the island’s capital Palma.
Local media say Spain’s National Police and the Civil Guard are investigating the three attacks, although it is not yet known if the three attacks are related.
The sickening attacks come less than a month after a young Scottish woman was allegedly gang raped by three men on a beach in Punta Ballena.
