Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan is said to be very concerned with the sharp rise in case numbers that sees Ireland moving closer to 1,000 daily cases.
The Department of Health have confirmed that there has been 994 new Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours.
In an announcement the Department of Health confirmed that there are currently 80 people in hospital with Covid-19.
They also say that there are 22 people in ICU.
Many feel that the vaccine rollout is too slow to catch the numbers, while others say that they won’t take the vaccine because they believe it’s ineffective.
