Holohan pleads to people who have not been vaccinated to take the jab then says ‘infections in vaccinated people do not mean that vaccines do not work…Vaccines work’

An urgent plea has been made by Dr. Tony Holohan to anyone in the Irish community that remains unvaccinated to get the jab.
Dr. Holohan’s statement outlined that “Full vaccination is the best protection for you and your community from COVID-19, including from variants such as Delta, which is dominant in Ireland”, reports the Mirror.

The statement continued “It is important to remember that infections in vaccinated people do not mean that vaccines do not work.
“While no vaccine is 100% effective in this way, these breakthrough infections that occur are generally much less severe, and they are associated with less risk of hospitalisation. Vaccines work.”

What do you think? Is this a ‘hard sell’ or should people get vaccinated in your opinion?
