Holohan: Please remember to act responsibility this week as we head into a risk week

The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan is said to be both “concerned” and “troubled” at the latest covid numbers and how they’ve growing over the past week.

Holohan and NPHET will be advising the government before tomorrow’s cabinet meeting where there’ll be drip-feeding information as to what and when will be locked down.

The CMO said that there is a persistent and ongoing concern that the HSE may not be able to cope if the health service comes under severe strain and wouldn’t be able to cope if the numbers get too high.

Hospitality looks like it’ll be locked down after St Stephen’s Day but this will be confirmed from Tuesday.
