Holohan: There’s still time for people who aren’t vaxxed to get it immediately and people need to use social distancing, work from home and antigen testing

As the Omicron variant begins to become the most talked about variant across Europe, Tony Holohan is said to be still determined on getting as many vaccinated as possible in what he says is NPHET’s effort to stop the spread of the Delta variant.

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer has said that there is still time to turn the nightmare scenario of a fourth lockdown around, but people need to act fast and need to act right now,

Holohan has said that people who aren’t vaccinated need to get the jab immediately. He has said that people need to continue with social distancing, work from home and washing their hands. He’s said that if people have any symptoms, or even no symptoms – that they need to take antigen tests immediately.

The number of people in ICU is now said to be alarming NHPET into an avenue that no one wants to go down, possible further restrictions in the not too distant future.

They continue to say that no further restrictions are on the table but many feel that they’re not far off even though the vast majority are vaxxed.

Ireland’s CMO Dr Tony Holohan has said that the situation is now unsustainable and has urged those who aren’t vaxxed to get their vaccination.

Many believe that this sounds ominous as to what’s to come in the upcoming weeks towards Christmas and the New Year however.

Dr Tony Holohan is now said to be extremely concerned as case numbers seem to be skyrocketing again.
