Homelessness continues to rise in Ireland, with over 10,300 people now officially classified as homeless across Ireland.
This is yet another indictment of a completely inept and ineffective Government, although to be fair, most of Ireland’s Governments of the last 30 years or so have been equally inept and ineffective, particularly when it comes to housing.
Young people here are now in a situation where they can’t rent anywhere because of a lack of rental properties and high rents, and cannot buy either because of high prices and stringent mortgage policies.
