Former Ireland rugby international and TV/Radio personality George Hook is set to return to the airwaves this week it has been confirmed.
Hook who infamously found himself at the centre of a storm last September when he made controversial comments about women and rape during his talkshow in September will be given a fresh start in 2018 after his employers Newstalk FM announced his new role on Thursday.
The presenter who is no stranger to criticism will be given a brand new show that will air every Saturday morning from 8am to 10am.
Hook who served a three month suspension for his previous outburst will reportedly discuss everything from music to US politics on his new show.
In announcement made on Thursday Newstalk said they were happy to welcome George back and that his new show will be an integral part of its re-shaped lineup in 2018.
