Germany has been rocked by violent and sexual migrant attacks in recent month but an assault in the city of Freiburg has proven to be one of the most bizarre.
Police in the city issued a press release confirming an unnamed 28-year-old Eritrean migrant has been arrested and linked to several rape and sex attacks on local women and animals through a DNA examination.
The South-East German city has also been rocked by unrelated protest after a local teenager was gang-raped by up to 15 men, eight of whom were arrested and are all of Middle Eastern origin.
Germany has seen sex attacks and violent crime sky rocket since Chancellor Merkel opened the border to millions of unvetted migrants from Africa and the Middle East, most of whom are young men.
