Police in the US State of California have arrested a man after his two young children were reportedly found decapitated at their home in Lancaster.
According to The L.A. Times, the two children aged 13 and 14 were tragically found dead on Friday after police received a call to their home in the 45000 block of Century Circle.
It is reported that the two children a boy and a girl were found decapitated and had a number of lacerations and stab wounds.
Police investigating the incident say that both the children’s parents were in the house when their bodies were discovered, however the children’s mother was not arrested.
They say they are unsure how long the children were dead, but their father was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and is currently being held on a $2m bond.
The shocking discovery has been described as pretty brutal by the Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris, who confirmed to The L.A Times that both children were decapitated.
