Police in the US have confirmed that the remains of a 4-year-old girl who went missing a month have been found.
According reports in the US, the remains of Maleah Davis, were found inside a plastic bag that was runover by a lawnmower near a highway in Arkansas.
The remains of Meleah, who has been subject of a nationwide were reportedly found on Friday.
Police investigating the case say they are trying to establish her cause of death, but it may prove difficult as her body was left in a gruesome state after being runover by lawnmowers.
The horrific discovery comes after Meleah’s father Derion Vence, 27, was arrested in connection with her death after he allegedly told a community activist that his daughter’s death was an accident.
Maleah was reported missing on May 4, when her father told police that she had been taken by three men after he was knocked out whilst driving to George Bush Intercontinental Airport, to pick up Meleah’s mother.
However Vence’s story proved suspicious after police found traces of her blood at Vence’s home.
He is currently being detained in Houston, Texas, on a charge of evidence tampering.
