A Russian man who savagely recorded the brutal beating of his wife who later died in hospital is facing the prospect of spending the next 16 years behind bars.
The man behind the sickening assault Maxim Gribanov, who brutally beat his wife Anastasia Oviannikova so bad that she died in hospital a mere six days later is currently awaiting trial for murder and assault.
According to Russia state media Anastasia was beaten that badly she was put into a medically induced coma by doctors in order to treat her extensive injuries.
However unfortunately Anastasia sadly died a short time later as doctors were unable to revive her.
It is believed that Anastasia was subjected to the brutal assault after her husband discovered that she was about to leave him for another man with whom she fell in love with.
According to friends, Anastasia who is an alleged victim of Maxim’s previous abuse, was trying to work up the courage to tell her husband that their marriage was over.
Unfortunately when she finally did the sick brute decided to enact his revenge by recording the horrendous beating so that he could show it off to his friends.
During the disturbing attack Maxim also threatened to have her father and brother killed unless she stayed with him and done what he asked of her.
Following the attack which occurred in Lebedyan, western Russia, Anastasia was taken to a local hospital with severe internal and external injuries that prompted doctors to alert local police.
In a follow up investigation police reportedly found the video which showd Anastasia being brutally beaten before she is laid on top of a sofa by Maxim to highlight her injuries before he brags about what he has done.
It is believed they also discovered photos which were sent to his friends via his phone which shows him discussing what he had done and that he needed to do so in order to keep her ‘under control’.
Meanwhile police say an investigation is currently ongoing and Maxim has since been arrested and charged after he eventually pleaded guilty to the assault of Anastasia.
