Police in the Australian suburb of Bedford, have launched a murder investigation after a mother, two twins girls aged 2, a 3-year-old girl and their grandmother were tragically found dead in their home on Sunday.
According Australian state media the horrific discovery was made after a man aged in his 20s surrendered himself to police at a station on Sunday afternoon.
Following the initial report officers sent to the family home tragically found the bodies of all five victims.
It has not yet been revealed to the public how the family were killed, but reports in Western Australia say the three young children and the two women were murdered.
Police investigating the case say the man is being questioned, but have refused to release further information about the case.
It has also been reported that the crime scene which is located just outside Perth was so horrific that a police chaplain was required to support investigating officers examining the crime scene.
The motive for the horrific killings has been yet to be determined and police say they are currently reviewing the evidence and questioning the man involved in order to determine the facts of the case.
