The current overcrowding crisis at the nations hospitals is showing no signs of slowing down as latest figures released by the INMO show that there are currently 449 people waiting on a bed today.
According to the INMO University Hospital Limerick was the worst affected with 46 patients waiting on a bed, whisy Cork University Hospital was second with 41 people waiting.
The figures also found that the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, was third on the list with 39 patients waiting.
However official HSE figures say that there are currently 330 people waiting on a bed, but those figures do not account for patients waiting on public wards.
The latest figures have once again led to calls for more to be done as the current figures are expected to rise significantly over the winter period.
