“How dare he, there should be a public inquiry” – very mixed reactions to Higgins signing into law the Mothers and Babies Bill

Many people have voicing their opposition to the President signing the controversial Mothers and Babies Bill into law. Some say it can now be challenged by individuals while many, many people are saying how dare Higgins sign such a Bill into law and that there should be a public inquiry into it.

All state files have been sealed for 30 years from the Mothers and Babies homes, thanks to the President Micheal D Higgins.

It’s understood that everything that the Minister for Children Roderic O’Gorman receives will be sealed for 30 years.

O’Gorman says that he’s discussing with the Attorney General ways for the files to be accessed.

Social media users are saying that it’s utterly disgraceful that Higgins signed into the law the new Bill and that if they could go back, they wouldn’t vote for him.
