Greta Thunberg (18), the media’s go-to spokesperson on climate change is branching out into other scientific fields as she gives her opinion on the worldwide roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines.
As reported in the Metro, Thunberg not just opinions on vaccine rollouts but also touches on morality and ethics when she spoke at a sponsored World Health Organisation (WHO) press conference this week;
“It is completely unethical that high-income countries are now vaccinating young and healthy people if that happens at the expense of people in risk groups and on the front lines in lower and middle-income countries”.
“And this is a moral test. We talk today about showing solidarity and yet vaccine nationalism is what’s running the vaccine distribution. ‘It is only when it really comes down to it that we show our true face”.
