HSE Chief Paul Reid says Ireland’s adult population should be fully vaccinated by the end of August

The Chief Executive of the HSE Paul Reid has said that Ireland’s adult population should be fully vaccinated by the end of August.

Speaking to Newstalk, Reid said the vaccination programme is roughly about three to four weeks ahead of schedule.

Reid told the station that given the high uptake of the vaccine across the country, the programme for the adult population should be completed by late August or early September.

He added that anyone who has come forward for a vaccine by then should have received at least one dose.
