The HSE have confirmed that there has been a small increase in TB cases in Waterford in recent weeks.
In an announcement made on Monday, the Health Authority said local hospitals have been informed about the increase.
However the health authority have declined to comment on what has caused the rise in cases, saying they would be “concerned if any news item would cause distress to those who feel they may be potentially identifiable”.
