The HSE have confirmed that both Breastcheck and bowel cancer screenings will resume in September.
Speaking about the resumption of services Dr Colin Henry said that he hope’s both services will be back up and running by September once the appropriate health safety measures are introduced.
Dr Henry who also confirmed that CervicalCheck screening will resume next month, said that Breastcheck screenings will take longer to return due to the fact that modifications will have to be made to mobile units.
He said that in order for screening services to return to normal a number of control measures would have to be put in place.
