The HSE is now seriously concerned with the number of monkeypox cases around the country, in particular to members of the homosexual community whom many doctors believe are at a higher risk of contracting the disease.
The health service has confirmed that 11 monkeypox vaccine centres will open from Monday and will benefit roughly 6,000 to 13,000 people.
