Soon, patients waiting for admission across Irish hospitals may be moved to prefab modules, in a desperate attempt to reduce chronic overcrowding issues.
The prefabs would hold between 10 and 60 beds, and would contain either single, en-suite rooms, or four bedrooms.
This new arrangement would be used for patients who are mobile and require a short stay.
Hospital staff however remain skeptical, or downright opposed, to carry out medical procedures inside prefabs as if it were a war zone.
