HSE say those waiting for a second dose of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine will receive it within the next 5 weeks




The HSE have confirmed that those waiting for their second AstraZeneca dose will receive their vaccine within the next five weeks.

In an announcement the HSE said that they plan to have around 450,000 second doses of the vaccine administered by July 19th.

It is understood that the health service are aiming to cut the gap between each dose from 12 to 8 weeks.

Meanwhile the HSE also say further information on when the vaccine portal will open for those aged in their 30s will be given later this week.

It is expected that the portal will be first opened for those aged between 35 and 39 before moving to those aged between 30 and 34.
