Hundreds of people in Tralee come out in support of brave cervical cancer patient Emma Mhic Mhathúna

Hundreds of people gathered in Tralee Co Kerry, on Monday evening to show their support for cervical cancer patient Emma Mhic Mhathúna.

According to RTÉ News the huge support which included 400 people, came after 37-year-old mother of five, recently told her story on how her cervical cancer diagnosis was missed.

Ms Mhathúna who was overwhelmed by the support, said she would do everything she could to help other women affected by the ongoing controversy.

The brave woman also revealed that she will meet President Michael D Higgins later this week to discuss her case and the Government’s handling of the situation.

Ms Mhathúna also told the on looking crowd that she was speaking out in an attempt to make the country safer for everyone.

The brave cancer patient also said she was grateful for the support over the recent days, not only from the local community but from people from all over the country.
