Protestors have come in force in the Syrian capital this morning following the allied airstrike in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According media reports in the war torn state, hundreds of people have descended on the city’s Umayaad Square to show their support to the Syrian army.

The protests which could last for a number of hours comes after the US, British and French government’s decided to take military action on Bashar al-assad’s suspected chemical weapons factories.

In what the Pentagon and President Trump have described as precision strikes , the allied forces have launched a number of cruise missiles on specific targets believed to be chemical weapons facilities in the Syrian capital.

Although there have no reports of any civilian deaths following the strikes, Syrian state media say three people have been injured and a number of military buildings have been damaged following the strikes.
