Hundreds of RTE staff are allegedly involved in an employment scandal, it has emerged today.
It is understood that 695 staff were classified as ‘self-employed,’ when they were actually working full-time. Because of this classification, the staff were not able to access the usual benefits of a full-time employee such as pension, holiday pay, etc.
The national broadcaster has been embroiled in a series of scandals and controversies over the past few months, with many people fully calling for the company to be dismantled.
