Arguably one of the best football players in the game’s history, Sir Bobby Charlton has sadly died aged 86.

His family said that it was with great sadness that he passed away on Saturday morning surrounded by his family.

He played in England’s World Cup winning squad in 1966, along as surviving the Munich Air disaster that saw so many of his Manchester United club teammates die.

He has an incredible stand named after him at Manchester United following all his triumph goals and wins.

His brother, Jack, championed Ireland’s team throughout our legendary Quarterfinal World Cup campaign in Italia 1990.
