Hunt down and punish: Varadkar says the govt will do all they can to find whoever started Ringsend fire

The fire at a pub in Ringsend that was supposed to become a homeless family hub is being investigated by the Gardaí as a purposeful criminal act, reports Independent.

After conducting a thorough forensic analysis of the scene, the Gardaí have classified the fire as criminal.

If the fire at a Dublin bar that was supposed to be converted into a homeless family hub turns out to be arson, the Taoiseach had stated that every attempt will be made to bring the offenders to justice, reports Independent.

Leo Varadkar expressed relief that no one was hurt in the fire at the former Shipwright pub in Ringsend, but he was concerned about the incident.

“The incident in Ringsend is under investigation by An Garda Síochána, which is doing everything it can to determine the cause of the fire. If this was the result of a deliberate act, all efforts will be made to bring the perpetrators to justice. Anyone with information should contact the Gardaí. The premises was intended for use as emergency accommodation for families,” he said, reports Independent.
