Gardai are believed to be looking for a boy as young as the age of 15, who is said to have fled the country after the incident.
Lorcan O’Reilly, aged 21, a budding music producer was stabbed to death in the early morning of November 1st.The young man had been trying to break up a fight just yard from his own home. Mr O’Reilly, also known as “Squeaky” was attacked at 2:45am while at a party at the Oliver Bond Street flat complex in Dublin.
He was pronounced dead in St James’ Hospital, after a single stab wound to the heart. Thirty Gardai are said to be involved with the case, and witnesses at the party have since been interviewed. Superintendent Patrick McMenamin of Kevin Street Garda Station stated:
“Lorcan was a respectable, decent young man from a respectable family in the community and the family are devastated at his tragic death. It was Halloween night, so there were a lot of people in the vicinity”
Lorcan was one of seven people stabbed during the Halloween weekend.
