Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, appears in court in a paternity-related case with his lawyers allegedly arguing that the 53-year-old is currently not financially able to pay his child support – and what where he stayed, reports The Mirror.
Hunter Biden appeared in an Arkansas court on Monday, where the judge ordered him to answer some finance-related questions.
In early September, Hunter asked the court to cut child support payments he had with a woman named Lunden Roberts.
Biden pays Roberts $20,000 a month in child support every month, with his attorneys arguing that the president’s son has paid three-quarters of a million dollars to date, Buzz reports.
However, his legal team has indicated that he cannot continue at this current level of payments, adding that he is no longer on salary, reports The Mirror.
The team have also hinted that during his father’s recent trip to Ireland, his son allegedly “stayed on a cot in his dad’s room in Dublin” and that it was the only hotel room he hadn’t had in five year, reports The Mirror.
Mr Hunter is also under scrutiny from Republicans in Congress and will now face another financial scrutiny of his investments and art sales.
He is also under federal investigation for possible tax crimes, reports The Mirror.
