Bus Eireann has issued a cancellation notice for school bus services operating in Cork, Kerry, Clare, Mayo, and Galway ahead of Ophelia’s expected arrival on Monday.
Meanwhile, the national forecaster has issued a red weather warning for most of Ireland’s western seaboard, the areas which are expected to be worst hit.
Severe weather is forecast for Monday and Tuesday, and everyone is advised to exercise extreme caution.
