I am completely innocent – Garth Brooks denies sexual assault allegation

In response to a former employee’s allegations of alleged sexual assault and abuse in a US lawsuit, country music artist Garth Brooks declared, “I am not the man they have painted me to be”, reports RTE.

The ex-employee said that in 2019 Brooks violated her privacy by sexually assaulting her in a hotel room.

The case was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by the lady. In the case, the lady claimed she was obliged to remain working for Brooks due of financial problems, which he knew about and allegedly abused, reports RTE.

The two-time Grammy winner Brooks requested a judge to halt the publishing of “false allegations of sexual misconduct” by the lady in an anonymous complaint he filed in Mississippi last month, arguing that doing so would “irreparably harm (his) reputation, family, career, and livelihood.”

“I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be,” he stated in a statement to the PA News Agency, reports RTE.

In a statement to PA, the woman’s attorneys, Wigdor LLP, stated, “We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks, reports RTE.
