I Care Housing: David Hall creates new organisation that will purchase homes about to be repossessed from struggling families and allow them to stay as social tenants

Former Console caretaker CEO David Hall, has revealed this evening that he has created a new organisation that will buy homes from struggling families and allow them to stay as tenants.

The new scheme entitled I Care Housing, was unveiled on The Ray D’Arcy Show, will see a the organisation buy houses that are about to be repossessed from the banks and allow the current occupants remain in their home.

Speaking about the scheme, Hall told Ray D’Arcy: “The banks can sell houses to vulture funds or they can repossess them; they’re the two choices Ray, and there’s tens of thousands of people affected. ”

“Our alternative is to say we’ll take over those loans, you stay in your home, and the rent allowance that you would be entitled to comes and pays us.”

Hall also explained the organisation is named after David’s daughter, Erica, and homelessness campaigner, Erica Fleming.
