He made the nation cry from his appearance on Friday night’s Late Late show.
It looks as though Charlie Bird is going to give things his all over the next number of months as he said he’s determined to climb Croagh Patrick one last time.
Posting on social media, he thanked people for their support last night and said that he cried
Yes I cried this morning but they were tears of joy at the overwhelming support I received for my Late Late Show appearance.
If I am still mobile in the Spring I will climb Croagh Patrick to highlight MND and other terminal illnesses. Your all invited to join me.I love you all.— Charlie Bird (@charliebird49) December 11, 2021
Veteran reporter Charlie Bird, who spent most of this career working for RTE, was interviewed on Friday night’s Late Late Show.
He looked the same as ever but he sounded quite different. Charlie said that he probably won’t have his voice in the next three to four months.
Charlie said that he between one and three years left in this world. He said that he hopes to climb Croagh Patrick one last time.
He said that although he cries every day, he does his best to do as much as he can.
Charlie’s last wish is that we look after everyone who is sick.
