“I cry every day – My final wish is that we look after everyone who is sick”, Charlie Bird spoke candidly about his Motor Neurone Disease

Veteran reporter Charlie Bird, who spent most of this career working for RTE, was interviewed on tonight’s Late Late Show.

He looked the same as ever but he sounded quite different. Charlie said that he probably won’t have his voice in the next three to four months.

Charlie said that he between one and three years left in this world. He said that he hopes to climb Croagh Patrick one last time.

He said that although he cries every day, he does his best to do as much as he can.

Charlie’s last wish is that we look after everyone who is sick.
