Iarnród Éireann have revealed that they are to issue on the spot fines for anti social behaviour on its trains and at its stations.
Speaking to RTE News, Iarnród Éireann spokesperson Jane Cregan said the fines are being introduced in order to tackle the issue which has seen a rise in incidents in recent weeks.
Iarnród Éireann say fines will be issued for incidents such as threatening behaviour, acting under the influence of drugs or alcohol, vandalism or theft.
